limes on steroids?

This is an exact picture of when I tell something to Seanie and he responds with "Huh?" He loves saying that now. He's also into any type of animal right now (dinosaurs, horsies, ducks, cows, zebras) I listed them just in case you didn't know what animals were. :) I don't know why I just listed them actually. I think I've been hanging out with kids too much! Next blog I'll list the animal sounds for you. Then you'll know I've lost it!

Sean is very proud of his lime tree which is producing tons of regular looking limes but for some reason our "orange" tree is producing limes on steroids. So wierd! The kids have been playing with them. We opened one up and it's just white inside with a couple seeds. Oh and the kids ate dinner outside (just in case you get a close up of their pasta faces).

.

Uncle Josh has been coming over every Sunday morning after his weekly trip to Panera and Starbucks. He always comes over around 10:15 and we leave for church at 10:30. So the routine is that he gives the kids his strawberry scone or this week his smoothie. And I try to convince him to come to church with us. His excuse this time was that he didn't have the right clothes. But usually he's off to jiujitsu or yoga!

Thanks Uncle Josh! Oh, and nice sweaty armpits! We definitly are related!

Vincent came over for dinner the other night and it was so fun having him. I took Seanie's shirt off because we were having pasta so Maggie asked if she could take her's off. I said "yes" but then realized she had a dress on so she was just in her underwear. Then Vincent asked if he could be in his underwear too so he took off his shoes, socks, shirt & shorts. After dinner they ran about 800 laps around the yard in their undies.

Attack of the killer leaf

1st day of preschool without parents... Kelly and I were more excited than the kids. I watched Maggie washing her hands by herself and then going to sit right next to the teacher (of course) and that was it. I got a little teary but then left so happy.

This kid has so many emotions and his face tells them all. He is so expressive so I thought I would do the many faces of "Seanie" "Normie" Poole Jr.

He goes from this face here to.........

this one!!!!! Hilarious! I wish I had one of when he gets scared of something cause he puts both hands on his cheeks and screams... which brings me to "Attack of the Killer Leaf"
We went for a walk down our street and it was a windy evening! All of the sudden I saw this leaf blowing in the wind heading right for us. Maggie and I moved out of the way but Seanie got attacked on his belly by this big, green, leaf. He screamed and yelled, "No, Seanie, Leaf". But it didn't listen. It came back a second time and went for his leg. This sent me into laughter and him into... all I can describe is a "womanly scream" with his two hands on his face (like Macauley Culkin in Home Alone). He had a week of not going near a leaf and being so scared he sits on my lap to today where he smashes them with his feet as if he is killing the predator! The End ...

Uncle Pat and Aunt Margie came to visit for 3 weeks but I didn't take any pictures... Just this one! I'm so mad! They have to get back home to Nebraska cause their little granddaughter is arriving soon!!!! Yay, Moe! Tell Mikie to give me updates during the labor and keep me posted! :)

preschool & playtime

1st day of preschool where you meet your teacher and find your nametag. Maggie loved it and loved the kitchen area. What an exciting day. Her first day by herself is this week!!!!

Maggie got to be in charge of showing the other kids where the bathroom was. This school is very sanitary and the kids have to wash their hands before they sit down. :)

Maggie and Gabe: We were pregnant and teaching together, then we taught them at home for their 1st year of preschool and now their off by themselves... How exciting!

Maggie couldn't stop smiling and looking at all the other kids. What a great start! I was so embarassed by Sean's "moustache" and then his transition lenses. Are you 45 years old?

Yoga X!!!!!! Hilarious!

There were some long days this summer and Maggie and Seanie are finally playing together for short periods of time with no crying, hitting and tantrums. Maggie only lets him play with Prince Charming but not any other Barbie's. He's eating his head in this pic!

We also did shaving cream letters... Maggie practices writing her letters in the shaving cream.

The good thing about shaving cream is that it also cleans off your table after... Awesome!

hair salon & cars

Seanie is building up his little car collection. He loves to line them up but also lay on the ground and stare at the wheels.

Doing hair and make-up is one of my worst "chores" to do. It is not fun and I rarely do it anymore. But Maggie and I have our own hair salon. If you want to come over and get your hair and make up done by me and my kids you will be looking like a hot mess. But it's fun! I let Maggie put on chapstick, lip gloss, white eyeshadow and clear mascara. But only on special "hair salon" days. I should sign her up for "Toddlers & Tiaras"!!!

Nana got Maggie this cute little apron. I thought she bought it but a friend of hers made it. I love the colors and pattern so I said she should sell these cause she could make some big bucks. (Not that we cook very often but we can still do a lot of microwaving with them on)

Awwww... night night!

Seanie has one of those smiles that doesn't show his top teeth so I finally got one.

At lunch the other day:
Mom: "Who ate all the cheese"?
Maggie: "I did"
Mom: "Oh yeah, I see it in your belly"
Maggie: "No you can't, my belly is closed... Mom, who made us?"
Mom: "God"
Maggie: "Ok then, he made my belly closed so you can't see it"

Nature & Ticks

Going to the beach in Tahoe! Seanie's new nickname is "Kramer" from Seinfeld. Cool hair!

Hair done by Kelly (who gives them jelly beans for rewards)! She slicked Kramer's curls!

Our adventurous nature hike in Dublin brought home two ticks on Maggie. Sean thought it was a mole but they were ticks which didn't get burrowed yet, thank God. No more going off trail with Daddy!

New Goal

Daddy and Maggie went bike riding in Tahoe where Maggie accidentally went down a driveway and there was a chain across and she went straight into it knocking her off the bike. They had to walk home and here is her injury across her neck!

Big bruise... see shannanagans below!

Twins!

Maggie is 4 years old... can you tell her favorite color is yellow?

The Poole kids love to play... look at the bruises and worn out shoes!

I'm baaaacccckkk! I hope! My new goal is to try and blog once a week because poor little Seanie (aka Normie) will not have any idea about all the shannanagans?? he got into as a toddler. He is 22 months and full of energy. He jumps off the couch, the bed, boulders at the park, stairs and then lands his jump. Everytime he lands his jumps I feel like he should hold his hands in the air like the Olympic gymnasts.

Seanie shananagans:

1. toilet playing... as if its a water table (that was early in his toddlerhood) now he looks at it and says ewwww.... poo poo.

2. At Roman's b-day party in June he went up to a dad and his two kids on the play structure and farted the loudest fart I've ever heard... then laughed, and yelled "ewww.... toot". They didn't speak English but I guess farting can bring people together cause we were all laughing.

3. Before we left for Lake Tahoe, Sean was working almost the whole month, so my patience level was at a low point. We had to make a Costco trip so luckily Sean could come with me. As were checking out of Costco the people always do a smily face for the kids. So as were talking to the nice guy we didn't notice our little guy grabbing a bottle of wine and chucking it out of the cart. Thank God they were closing because it could have been worse. We couldn't believe it. They were all so nice about it and other moms just smiled and said, "What can you do?" Other old people gave us the stare down and shaking of their head as if, "Control your kid & Your the worst parent in the world". I've been getting that a lot lately. :) The nice kid at Costco said, "Can I get you another one?" I said "I think I deserve at least 10"!

4. Tahoe trip: He was doing twirls in the front room and fell into the fireplace which had a small piece of wood framing so the giant egg bruise could've been worse.

We are coming back from a great day at the beach and Sean has Normie on his shoulders. I'm carrying all the bags and we start putting the kids on the car when Sean goes, "OMG did he poop? Jor, Jor is it all over my back?" He couldn't put him down cause the ground was hot and I was on the ground holding in my pee cause I was laughing soooo hard. There was poo all over his shirt and down his neck. It was the highlight of my trip. He threw away his shirt and I wiped him down as best as we could. He drove us home sitting as close to the steering wheel cause he was afraid poo would get on his seat. I'm laughing just remembering this.

5. Poo in the backyard: Normie had a rash so I decided to let him run around in his diaper in the backyard. So I hosed down the cement after he peed... thats fine. I went back inside for a minute and Maggie comes running in.... "He pooped, he pooped". I ran outside and he was already playing in it and stepping in it. I wish I couldv'e taken a picture of the poo footprints that were trailing behind him. I decided to throw him in the bathtub and when I came out to clean the rest.... my dog Bailey had already devoured it. I know .... disgusting. I didn't know what to do so I put her on the side of the house and then scrubbed her mouth with Lysol (i didn't care) and gave her about 10 treats to know that the poo was gone.... what a great day!!!!

Those are the latest stories of my everyday life. He has also started talking a lot too which has really helped with some of his tantrums. He can count to 9 which I thought was amazing and he also tells jokes. He calls people Uncle... for example....I'm "Uncle Mama" and then he laughs cause he knows hes joking.... Then he sings the "apples and bananas song" but sings it as... "I like to eat, eat, eat Mommy & DaddY" and then says... "eeeeewwwww". Pretty funny!

Maggie is 4 years old now and were getting ready for her new preschool which I'm excited about. She loves princesses and getting herself dressed. It's a struggle with her outfits so I just let her go for it. I love it and when we have "dance party" she gets to pick out all of our outfits to wear.

October of 2010 whoops

playing outside

Halloween night

matching shirts from Nana!

I started time out with Maggie at age 1 so we decided to try it with SJ... he liked it soooo much but only because he was taking a poop. He was so quiet over there :)

My little "angel" was tired of taking pics... can you tell? Carrie's wedding!

Carrie & Randy! Soooo happy! What a fun wedding!

Rehearsal dinner... they did great!

My mom, me and Mags!

1st b-day... Nana flew in this day and we all celebrated at my mom's house! I ran out of diapers so he had to wear his sister's pink pull-ups... My mom also let him touch the candle and he burnt his finger.... lol lol classic

loved the ribbon and standing on his presents... hates toys!

October was a busy month for us! SJ turned 1 and my good friend Carrie got married. Maggie was the flower girl and it was pretty cute watching her and Gabe walk down the aisle. Here are some pictures from 5 months ago. I'm so behind cause our computers were down for awhile and we had to clear out room for all of our pictures.
